Moshi Co-operative University (MoCU) is recognized as a centre of excellence in Co-operative Studies in East Africa. The University has its uniqueness that aims to provide strong professional orientation with educational depth in co-operative and business skills, focusing on academic excellence as well as graduate employability. Our areas of expertise among others include; co-operative education and development, business, economics, and gender. Therefore, in MoCU, students acquire distinguished expertise in their chosen disciplines of co-operative development and management, accounting and auditing, procurement, finance, banking and microfinance, and community development.

The graduates of today are increasingly required to live and work across boundaries and cultures. The University offers opportunities to study in a competitive environment of which individual students derive the best in it and be able to compete with other graduates. We pride ourselves in the international mix of students on our area of specialization.

MoCU offers not only unique environment with excellent degree and non-degree programmes but also provides a wonderful array of clubs, societies, and sporting facilities. We encourage our students to "co-operatively learn from today, manage and govern tomorrow". Many graduates have taken up the management positions in Tanzania and across Africa; they works in Banks, Microfinance Institutions, Business, Politics and Agriculture.
