Shadrack Stephen Madila holds a PhD in Information Communication Science and Technology from the Nelson Mandela African Institution of Science and Technology. He is teaching several ICT courses, including Database Management Systems, E-Business Technologies, Management Information Systems, Data Analytics, and ICT4D, for non-degree, undergraduate, and postgraduate programmes.

He has been working and researching in different fields of ICT with the following areas of interest: adoption and use of ICT technologies, social media analytics, and ICT4D. His hobbies include playing darts, football, and travelling.
