Dr. Kelvin Luka Nzilano is an academic staff at the Department of Marketing and Enterprise Management (DMEM) in the capacity of Lecturer.  He holds a PhD in Entrepreneurship from MoCU, a Master of Science in Entrepreneurship from Mzumbe University in Morogoro, a Bachelor of Co-operative Management and Accounting, and a Professional Certificate in the Management of Savings and Credit Co-operative Societies (SACCOS), both from the then Moshi University College of Co-operative and Business Studies (MUCCoBS) in Tanzania.

Dr. Nzilano has extensive experience in teaching, research, and undertaking consultancy assignments in entrepreneurship and cooperative governance for over 15 years. His areas of teaching and research include Entrepreneurship, Technopreneurship, Business Model Innovation, Social Entrepreneurship, Digital Entrepreneurship, Strategic Business Management, Public Sector Entrepreneurship, Corporate Entrepreneurship, Creativity and Innovation, Business Start-ups and Start-up Ecosystems, Intellectual Property Management, Business Ethics, Business Consulting Techniques, Co-operative Education and Governance.

Administratively, Dr. Nzilano has served in several positions. Since February 2024 to date, Dr. Nzilano serves as the University Risk Management Coordinator. Between 2017 – 2022, he served as a Head of the Department of Distance Education under the Institute of Continuing Co-operative Education (ICCE). As head, he served as a university senate member, ICCE Board member, and Senate of Postgraduate Studies Committee (SPSC) member. Between July 2014 to December 2016, he served as a country Coordinator for the Professional Financial Co-operative Management Programme (PFCMP) in Tanzania and Uganda where he worked with several local and international stakeholders. Between 2012 – 2014, Dr. Nzilano served as a research Coordinator for the Bachelor of Human Resource Management Programme
