Program Overview

This three-year full-time programme aims to educate and train students in Business Information and Communication Technology to equip them with the knowledge and skills required to cater to the staffing needs of higher learning institutions, private institutions, and government and non-governmental institutions within and outside the country.

Specific Objectives

The specific objectives are to:

• Enable students to appreciate the role of information technology in social and economic development.
• Develop the ability to analyze IT applications and design solutions for organizational and technical challenges requiring IT support.
• Prepare students to become experts in IT services.
• Enable students to effectively manage IT resources in business applications.
• Develop the ability to critically evaluate IT and its relevance within organizational contexts.

General Entry Requirements

• Two principal passes in the following subjects: Advanced Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Geography, Computer Science, Biology, Economics, Agriculture, Nutrition or Accountancy.
• Equivalent qualifications, such as a recognized diploma in IT-related fields, are also accepted.
• Applicants with strong programming or networking skills will have an added advantage.
• Proficiency in English is required for all applicants.
