Dr. Kanti A. Kimario is a Lecturer, researcher, and consultant who has been an integral part of the Department of Community Development and Gender at Moshi Co-operative University (MoCU) since 2011. With an impressive academic background, he holds a PhD, a Master’s degree in Co-operative and Community Development, a Postgraduate Diploma in Community Development, and a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy. His expertise rests in the field of community development, with a comprehensive understanding of various aspects within this discipline. His expertise spans across gender relations in community development, social services provision, public-private partnership in development, community sustainable development, co-operatives and community development, governance of co-operative organizations, and management of community development projects.
Driven by passion for knowledge and commitment to making a meaningful impact in his field, Dr. Kanti has actively pursued opportunities for research and academic growth throughout his academic journey. Recently, he has completed his PhD research project focused on “Public-Private Partnership in the Heath System towards Attaining Universal Health Coverage in Kilimanjaro Region”. This project has allowed him to engage in extensive research, collaborate with experts in the field, and critically analyse relevant literature, further enhancing his expertise and understanding of the subject matter. In addition to his academic pursuits, Dr. Kanti has a deep-rooted dedication to community development. He believes in the power of research, collaboration, and critical analysis to drive positive change in communities.
