Michael Alex Lutabo is an assistant lecturer at Moshi Co-operative University (MoCU), teaching courses on project planning and management and research methodology. Lutabo holds Master’s degree in Project Planning and Management (2021) from University of Dar es Salaam in Tanzania; Bachelor of Arts in Rural Development ( 2008) from the Sokoine University of Agriculture in Tanzania and Diploma in Animal Health (2002) from Livestock Training Institute Morogoro. His areas of expertise are project planning and management, project monitoring and evaluation, social research methodology and sexual and reproductive health.
Previously, Mr. Lutabo has worked as Community Development Officer and Council HIV/AIDS Coordinator (CHAC) of Mpwapwa District Council and Secretary to the Council Multi-sectoral AIDS Committee (CMAC). He also served as Facilitator for Timiza Malengo Project; the project was implemented by TAYOA under supervision of AMREF Tanzania from January 2019 to December 2021. The job involved preparation of training manuals, teaching on issues related to community-based nutrition interventions, sexual and reproductive health, gender based violence and HIV/AIDS and life skills to adolescents girls and young women project designing and preparation of monitoring and evaluation project plan in Mpwapwa District Council. His other former positions include Deputy District Census Coordinator of the 2022 Population and Housing Census from 02nd July to 30 June March 2023, Assistant Returning Officer Kibakwe constituent (ARO-Jimbo la Kibakwe) for Tanzania National Election of 2015 from June, 2015 to November 2015 and Acting District Election Officer from January 2009 to December 2011. His area of research interest are health insurance and sexual and reproductive health for adolescent’s girls and young women.
