Ms. Zena is working as an Assistant Lecturer (Agricultural Economics) in the Department of Economics and Statistics at Moshi Co-operative University (MoCU). She holds a Master of Science degree in Agricultural Economics and a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics & Agribusiness from Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA). As Assistant Lecturer, Zena is responsible for training, research and consultancy in the field of economics and applied economics. As a consultant, Zena has been involved in consulting assignments including; End of Program Evaluation of Mgera Area Programme (Programme Number: 02435, Transition Phase 2020-2023), consulted by World Vision Tanzania. Before joining MoCU, from 2011 to 2022, she has been working as Project Administrator & data manager for the Health for Animals and Livelihood Improvement (HALI) based at SUA. With HALI, Zena has played a critical role in managing large, multi-year, multi-institution interdisciplinary research projects funded by USAID, NIH, the US Department of Defense and US Department of Agriculture, managing inter-office finances, operations, and reporting in collaboration with HALI PIs and coordinators.
