Johnson James Kimambo holds MSc. Research Methods from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) and Bachelor of Arts in Co-operative Management and Accounting from Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA). Mr. Kimambo is an Assistant Lecturer under the Department of Co-operative Development and Management and works as a Programme Coordinator at Moshi Co-operative University (MoCU) Kigoma Regional Office. Mr. Kimambo has over 10 years of working experience in cooperative development. He has done several assignments related to AgriBusiness, Agricultural Marketing Co-operative Societies (AMCOS), Producers Organizations (POs), and Community Based Microfinance such as VICOBA and SACCOS. He has assisted farmers in promotion, formation, strengthening and evaluation of various forms of self-help groups and rural member-based producer organizations. He has further, participated in developing and strengthening grassroots organizations in Tanzania. He has vast experience working with national and international organizations in field training, teaching, consultancy and research including Canadian Co-operative Association (CCA), International Labour Organization (ILO), International Development Research Centre (IDRC), Farm Concern, Lutheran World Relief (LWR), World Vision, Tanzania Private Sector Foundation (TPSF), Oiko Credit, VECO and AVRDC – The World Vegetable Centre.
