Mr. Bosco Thomson Mtani is a Lecturer in Law. He holds a Bachelor of Laws degree (LL.B. with honours) from Saint Augustine University of Tanzania and a Master of Laws degree (LL.M. with honours) in International Laws from the University of Mysore, Karnataka, India. He was employed at MoCU in 2010 as a Tutorial Assistant in Law. In 2013 he was promoted to the rank of Assistant Lecturer and in June 2021 he was promoted to the rank of Lecturer. He has conducted consultancy, training and capacity-building seminars in Cooperative Law and Policy, HIV/AIDS and Access to Microfinance Services, Human Rights issues concerning Physically Challenged Persons, Rights of the Child, and International Law in general. Since 2010 he has been involved in teaching, research, consultancy, and other academic activities. From 2012 to 2018 he was the Chairperson of the Co-operative Entrepreneurship and Innovation Centre (CEIC) at MoCU-Kizumbi Teaching Centre in Shinyanga. In February 2020 he was appointed a Chairperson of Moshi Cooperative University Academic Staff Association (MoCUASA) and in June 2022 he was appointed a Secretary of the Tanzania Higher Learning Institutions Trade Union (THTU) of Moshi Cooperative University (MoCU) branch. His main areas of interest are Co-operative Law and Policy, and International Law.
