For University students, well-planned housing serves multiple purposes, including providing a safe place to live, promoting social interaction, and encouraging academic success. At Moshi Co-operative University, we provide affordable and secure accommodation to students based on a competitive application system.
The university offers over 1,200 beds in its accommodation facilities and partners with 27 private hostel owners nearby to provide additional accommodation options for students. The following conditions are considered when approving off-campus hostels:
Provision of security for students
Standard facilities
Reliable electricity and water supply
High levels of hygiene and discipline
Transport services for those living far from the university
Abiding by university rules and regulations
Given the limited accommodation facilities, the allocation of rooms is strictly governed by the MoCU Students' Accommodation Policy 2016. The following priorities guide the allocation process:
Physically challenged students
Foreign students
Certificate and first-year diploma students
First-year female undergraduate students
First-year male undergraduate students
Non-degree continuing students
Undergraduate continuing students
First-year postgraduate students
Postgraduate continuing students
