Dr. Nicodemus Simon Mwakilema is a Senior Lecturer and Director of Planning and Finance of the Moshi Cooperative University, Tanzania. Prior administrative work includes Deputy Director of Planning and Finance, Head of Department Tailor Made Programmes from October 2010 to December 2014, Coordinator for the Cooperative Entrepreneurship and Innovation Centre (CEIC) from September 2009 to 2012. Dr. Mwakilema has also worked with Tanganyika Coffee Curing Company Ltd (on a part time basis) as an adviser on all financial matters from 2008 to 2012. Dr. Mwakilema was a team member during the preparation of the communication strategy for the Sustainable Land Management Project in the Highlands of Mount Kilimanjaro – commissioned by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the Regional Administrative Secretary (RAS) Kilimanjaro (November-December 2013). Between 1998 and 2003 Dr. Mwakilema worked as an Accountant at Njiwa Corrugated Sheets Manufacturers Ltd.  Dr. Mwakilema has also participated as a group Leader on Special Audit of NGOME SACCOS Ltd and TAZARA SACCOS Ltd Commissioned by Permanent Secretary Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security and Cooperatives 25th May to 2nd June 2012. Currently, in academics Dr. Mwakilema participates in teaching, research, consultancy and community services in the field of finance and related areas at Moshi Cooperative University.
