Overview of the Department

The department of Postgraduate Studies (DPS) oversees teaching, research and training for the postgraduate programmes i.e. Postgraduate diploma, Master and PhD. It supervises the admission of postgraduate students. It also monitors the quality of postgraduate training and research supervision. Likewise, the department ensures accurate records of applicants and students are kept. In consultation with the Head of other Departments where programmes belong, the department of postgraduate allocates research supervisors to postgraduate students. DPS is responsible for maintaining quality during postgraduate seminar presentations for master and PhD students. Nevertheless, DPS also ensures that postgraduate teaching and learning facilities are provided to postgraduate students in time.  The department is also responsible for coordinating students’ and staff exchange programmes.
