Program Overview

The Bachelor of Human Resource Management (BHRM) is a three-year undergraduate programme that provides students with a strong foundation in managing human capital and organizational dynamics. The curriculum covers key areas such as recruitment and selection, employee relations, compensation and benefits, labor law, performance management, and organizational behavior. With a blend of theoretical knowledge and practical applications, the programme equips graduates with the skills needed to navigate the complexities of modern workplaces.

Specific Objectives

The specific objectives are to:

  • Equip students with the necessary skills to manage human capital effectively in any organization.
  • Enable graduates to understand and apply HR strategies for the growth and success of organizations.
  • Instill knowledge in key HR functions such as recruitment, employee relations, compensation, and performance management.
  • Prepare students for leadership roles in human resource management, fostering the ability to handle complex workplace issues.
  • Develop an understanding of labor laws, ethical HR practices, and organizational behavior.

General Entry Requirements

  • Two principal passes in the following subjects: History, Geography, English Language, Kiswahili, Economics, Accountancy, Advanced Mathematics, Commerce, Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Chinese, Computer Science, Agriculture, Nutrition, or French.
  • Proficiency in English is required for all applicants.
