Elvis J. Massawe is an accomplished assistant lecturer in Finance at Moshi Cooperative University, bringing a wealth of expertise to the academic realm. With a distinguished background that spans across prestigious institutions such as The University of Dar es Salaam Business School and St. Augustine University in Mbeya City, Elvis is dedicated to imparting knowledge in Financial Management, Corporate Finance, Investment Analysis, International Trade Finance, Financial Analysis, and Bookkeeping and Accounting. His academic journey began at Mzumbe University, where he earned an Honors degree in Accounting and Finance, paving the way for a remarkable career in the field.
A recipient of a fully funded scholarship from Equinor, a renowned Norwegian Energy Company, Elvis pursued a Master’s in Finance and Accounting in Oil and Gas at The University of Dar es Salaam Business School. His commitment to advancing the understanding of finance is evident in his notable research endeavors, as evidenced by the presentation of his conference paper, “The Influence of Corporate Social Responsibility on Corporate Financial Performance: Evidence from Oil and Gas Companies Operating in Emerging Markets,” at the 21st Annual Conference of the Academy of African Business and Development in London, UK at the University of East London, and the International Conference of Business and Management in Emerging Markets (ICBMEM) in Venlo, The Netherlands.
