Dr. Alban D. Mchopa is a Senior Lecturer at Moshi Co-operative University working under the Department of Procurement and Supply Chain Management. He is a certified procurement and supplies professional holding a PhD; Master of Science in Procurement and Supply Chain Management; and Bachelor of Procurement and Supply Management. He has more than 13 years of experience in training, research, consultancy and outreach based on his areas of interest and expertise. 

As an academician, he is involved in teaching and supervision of research works for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. He has published more than 15 papers in peer-reviewed Journals mostly in public procurement, logistics and value chain. Dr Alban has done a number of consultancy and capacity-building assignments in the aforementioned areas of expertise. Apart from academic positions, he has held a number of managerial and leadership positions whereby currently he is the Director of Undergraduate Studies. Also, he is a member of the Board of Directors at Procurement and Supplies Procurement and Professional Board (PSPTB). He is also a resource person for the Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA) and a procurement expert in the World Bank Project (Higher Education for Economic Transformation – HEET)
