Abdallah Badiria Abdallah

Assistant Lecturer


Abdallah Badiria Abdallah is a tutorial assistant of social work at Moshi Co-operative University (MoCU), in the Department of Community Development and Gender. He holds a bachelor’s degree in social work from the Institute of Social Work, Dar-es-Salaam (2022). His research interests include social work in Africa, social protection for people with disabilities, mental health issues, gender equality, child protection systems, and elderly protection. 

Abdallah has worked on various voluntary facilitation as well as community services in different aspects, such as working at the Institute of Social Work in a position of intern tutorial assistance, to which he engaged in teaching, research assistance, and advising. Abdallah was working as a research assistant under the Oxford Policy Management organization in the Thrive program, particularly in a research team of qualitative data collection in Dodoma, Tanzania. The main purpose of the research was “Designing an Effective, Scalable, and Sustainable ECD Centre Model for Ages 2-4 in the Tanzanian Context.” in part of community services, Abdallah worked with the Institute of Social Work Counseling Center in a position of volunteer to the Msomera program, which aimed to ensure psychosocial support services to citizens living at Msomera village who mostly were Maasai tribe moving from Ngorongoro. Abdallah, works at Restless Development Organization in a position of national peer educator to youth groups at different community levels. Apart from working experience, Abdallah is a former commissioner of students with special needs under Tanzania Higher learning Institution student’s organizations TAHLISO. Lastly, Abdallah is a founder of the Hopeplus Organization, which is a non-government organization aimed at ensuring the improvement of the living standard of people with disabilities in Tanzania.
