Programme Overview

The Master of Project Planning & Management (MPPM) programme is designed to train high-level professionals in the field of project planning and management. This programme equips students with practical skills, mental models, theoretical acumen, and a multi-disciplinary understanding of the changing trends in project planning and management. It aims to develop an overall appreciation of the nature and purpose of projects, enhance awareness of principles and practices of project planning, and provide expertise in project design, preparation, and appraisal techniques within a development context.

Specific Objectives

The specific objectives are to:

  • Provide students with practical skills, mental models, and theoretical knowledge in project planning and management.
  • Develop a multi-disciplinary understanding of the changing trends in project planning and management.
  • Enhance awareness of the principles and practices of project planning, design, preparation, and appraisal techniques.
  • Foster an appreciation of the nature and purpose of projects in a development context.
  • Prepare graduates to effectively manage and lead projects in dynamic and complex environments.
  • Equip students with the tools to critically analyze and solve project-related challenges.

General Entry Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in any field with an average of “B” or a minimum GPA of 2.7.
  • Postgraduate Diploma in any relevant field with an average of “B” or a minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Professional Training qualifications such as CPA (T), ACCA, CPB, CPSP (T) with additional relevant training, evidence of research capability, and a minimum of two years of working experience.
