Dr. Kitala Christian Tobias Malamsha is the Faculty Dean and Senior Lecture in Economics. He provides lectures and Seminars mostly in Agricultural Economics, Microfinance Management, Farm Planning, Records and Accounting. He was first employed by the then Co-operative College in 2003 as a lecturer two. In 2004, the Co-operative College Moshi was transformed into the Moshi Co-operative College of Co-operative and Business Studies (MoCCoBS) a Constituted University college of the Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA) Morogoro, Tanzania. He becomes a lecturer in 2008 while in MUCCoBS. Furthermore, in 2011 he promoted to a Senior lecturer. Administratively, he served as a Programme Co-coordinator from 2004 to 2010, Head of Department from 2010 to 2012, as a Faculty Dean from 2012 to 2015 when MUCCoBS was elevated into a full – fledged University, namely, Moshi Co-operative University (MoCU) and Faculty Dean from 2015 to date in MoCU.
Dr. Malamsha holds a PhD from SUA, Morogoro, Tanzania with the thesis titled, “Success of Microfinance Institution in Tanzania: the Case of Savings and Credit Co operative Societies (SACCOS)”, a masters MBA majoring in Finance and Banking from Graduate School of IDM Mzumbe, and a Bachelor Degree in Agriculture (Rural Economy) from SUA. He also holds a Certificate in Co-operative Human Resource Management from Co-operative College of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Dr. Malamsha has done research, consultancy advisory services and published mostly in areas of Success in Co-operative Finance, Success in Savings and Credit Co-operative Societies (SACCOS), Success in Farming and Agricultural Marketing. He has participated in various community servicers arrangements as well as being a member in various committees such as in Senate, Chairman of Faculty Board, Rescue committee and so on. He likes hard working in peace environment.
